Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel (30 min). Rest and attend a short briefing for the Rara Lake trek. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Take a domestic flight (1hr) from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. Arrival in the lowlands, transfer to hotel, and prepare for onward travel. Overnight in Nepalgunj.
Take a domestic flight (1 hr) to Jumla, passing Himalayan foothills and valleys. Arrival at Jumla airport, transfer to lodge, and rest. Overnight in Jumla.
Drive or trek 15 km (5–6 hrs) through rural landscapes, small villages, and farmland. Overnight in Chere Chaur lodge.
Trek 12 km (5–6 hrs) ascending gradually through forests and traditional villages. Overnight in Chalachaur.
Trek 12 km (5–6 hrs) passing terraced fields and pine forests. Arrive in Sinja, known for its historical significance. Overnight in Sinja lodge.
Explore Sinja Valley, the ancient capital of the Khas Kingdom. Visit Sinja Heritage sites, stone inscriptions, and surrounding villages. Overnight in Sinja.
Trek 10 km (5–6 hrs) ascending into alpine pastures. Enjoy mountain views and small settlements along the trail. Overnight in Ghoro Singha lodge.
Trek 15 km (6–7 hrs), ascending 290 m. Arrive at Rara Lake, the largest lake in Nepal, surrounded by forests and hills. Overnight near the lake.
Full day to explore Rara Lake and surrounding trails. Optional hikes, photography, and boat rides on the lake. Overnight near the lake.
Trek 12 km (5–6 hrs) descending through alpine forests and small villages. Overnight in Pina lodge.
Trek 12 km (5–6 hrs) through pine and rhododendron forests. Overnight in Bumara lodge.
Trek or drive 15 km (5–6 hrs) descending back to Jumla. Overnight in Jumla lodge.
Take a domestic flight (1 hr) from Jumla to Nepalgunj, then another flight (1 hr) to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel or airport for onward travel.
